George J. Pierson

President & Chief Executive Officer

As President and Chief Executive Officer of Parsons Brinckerhoff, Mr. Pierson has responsibility for the firm's business and technical operations worldwide. He oversees Parsons Brinckerhoff's operating companies as well as corporate groups providing global support services. A licensed engineer and lawyer, Mr. Pierson joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in February 2006 as General Counsel and Secretary. He was named Chief Operating Officer of the firm's Americas operating company in January 2008, and became CEO of Parsons Brinckerhoff in January 2010.

Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Mr. Pierson was Partner and Director of the International Construction Practice Group of Peckar & Abramson, PC, a leading national construction law firm. During his time with Peckar & Abramson he was named a Leading Construction Lawyer by Chambers USA and was named to the international Who’s Who in Construction Law. He is a Fellow of the American College of Construction Lawyers.

During a 10-year career with Kvaerner PLC (and its predecessor, Davy McKee), Mr. Pierson held a variety of posts, including Executive Vice President and Legal Director of the firm's Engineering, Technology and Construction Division, and Vice President of Strategic Development of the firm's Non-Ferrous Mining Division. Early in his career he was an engineer with Camp, Dresser & McKee, Inc. in that firm's Walnut Creek, California office.

Mr. Pierson has a J.D. from Harvard Law School, an MBA from St. Mary’s College of California, an M.S. degree in civil engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and a B.S. degree in civil engineering from Bucknell University.

Greg Kelly

Global Chief Operations Officer

Greg Kelly is the global Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Parsons Brinckerhoff. The COO position was created in 2012 to ensure the continued success of the firm's seven operating companies and to enhance their abilities to work together across the firm's expanding global markets. Mr. Kelly has served in a number of leadership positions during his career with Parsons Brinckerhoff, including most recently as President of the Americas Transportation operating company, the firm's largest business since 2008, and delivered consistent growth in sales, project margins, revenues, and drove operating efficiencies while strengthening the company's commitment to fulfilling client expectations. He also serves on the firm's Operations Leadership Committee.

Bill Heitz

President, US Buildings (Heery)

As President of Heery International, Parsons Brinckerhoff's US Buildings operating company, Bill Heitz is responsible for that unit's strategic vision and operational direction. Since becoming President of Heery in January 2008, he has emphasized the integration of sustainable design and construction practices into the firm's projects, and is committed to operating Heery's offices according to sustainability principles. He has also promoted the firm's commitment to community service. Mr. Heitz has been an integral part of Heery's growth and expansion for more than two decades—his accomplishments include unifying Heery's multiple design offices into a national design practice. He is active in several professional organizations, and is Vice Chairman of the board of directors of the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), of which Heery is a founding member.

Roger Blair

President, US Power / Energy

Roger Blair is President of Parsons Brinckerhoff’s US Power and Energy operating company, which provides professional services in markets that include conventional power plants, energy services, renewable power, and underground storage of hydrocarbons. Services include consulting/owner's engineer, design, design/build, and operations and maintenance services. Mr. Blair joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in 1981; prior to his current role, he held a number of technical and senior management positions in Parsons Brinckerhoff's underground hydrocarbon storage business unit. He has served as Principal-in-Charge on some of the unit's most complex projects, involving underground and surface facilities for energy storage.

Russ Fuhrman

President, US Federal

Russ Fuhrman is President of Parsons Brinckerhoff's US Federal operating company. He has extensive experience in the management of large, complex programs—from 2003 through 2008, he was Parsons Brinckerhoff's Executive Project Manager for the $2.5 billion Woodrow Wilson Bridge Replacement project in Washington, DC, where he directed the efforts of a Parsons Brinckerhoff-led joint venture team serving as General Engineering Consultant. Mr. Fuhrman joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2001 after a 32-year US Army career, during which he rose to the rank of Major General in the US Army Corps of Engineers. As Deputy Commander/Acting Chief of Engineers for the Corps, he was responsible for day-to-day operations of a national and international engineering organization with 35,000 employees and an annual budget of $12 billion. Mr. Fuhrman is a Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), a member of the board of the Army Engineer Association (AEA), and a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the National Academy of Construction.

Mike Van Dusen

President, Parsons Brinckerhoff Halsall

Michael Van Dusen is President of Parsons Brinckerhoff Halsall Inc., Parsons Brinckerhoff's Canadian Building operating company. This comprises Halsall Associates, providing engineering services; Pivotal Projects, providing advisory and project management services; and Loop Initiatives, providing sustainability consulting services for businesses. Halsall has offices across Canada in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Ottawa, Burlington, and Sudbury. In addition to Canadian projects, Halsall is active in the United States, supported by a team in Washington D.C., and has a strong history of work in the Caribbean and Middle East.

Mr. Van Dusen is responsible for developing the Canadian building engineering operating company's overall business strategy, and ensuring that management responsibilities and performance are aligned with strategic objectives. Mr. Van Dusen joined the firm in 1985 and has been an integral part of Halsall’s growth and expansion. He has an oversight role on a wide variety of projects, including structural design, cladding engineering, building restoration, green planning and design, and building evaluations. Mr. Van Dusen is a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario, Professional Engineers Geologists and Geophysicists of Alberta, Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia, and Certified Reserve Fund Planner of the Real Estate Institute of Canada. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science from the University of Waterloo, and Master of Engineering from the University of Toronto.

Nick Flew

President and Chief Operating Officer, Europe/Middle East/Northern Africa (EuMENA)

Nick Flew is President and Chief Operating Officer of Parsons Brinckerhoff's Europe/Middle East/Northern Africa (EuMENA) operating company, and is responsible for the firm's operations in both established and emerging markets within his region. Prior to his current role, he was Director of Balfour Beatty Management, the UK-based professional services business of Balfour Beatty (Balfour Beatty acquired Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2009). Mr. Flew has 30 years of technical and management experience across a range of sectors internationally. He is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers and a Member of the Chartered Institution of Water and Environmental Management.

Guy Templeton

President and Chief Operating Officer, Asia/Australia-Pacific/Southern Africa (AAPSA)

As President and Chief Operating Officer of Parsons Brinckerhoff's Asia/Australia-Pacific/Southern Africa (AAPSA) operating company, Mr. Templeton oversees Parsons Brinckerhoff's operations within the region, which has approximately 5,000 staff members in more than 25 offices providing services in diverse markets, including: transportation, power, mining, water/wastewater, and community development. Immediately prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Mr. Templeton helped organizations in Australia and Asia improve their performance. His earlier career was in engineering and consulting in the electricity, transport, and telecommunications industries. He previously served as Chief Executive of Minter Ellison Lawyers, the largest law firm in the Asia-Pacific region, whose specializations include infrastructure, energy, and resources industries. He received a master of business administration degree from the University of Technology, Sydney, and a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of New South Wales. Based in Sydney, Mr. Templeton is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Judy DeScenza Cooper

Director, Global Corporate Communications

As Parsons Brinckerhoff's Director of Corporate Communications, Judy Cooper oversees the firm's internal and external communications, media relations/press issues, advertising, Parsons Brinckerhoff publications, social media, and the corporate website. She manages a corporate services group composed of writers, editors, and graphic designers who provide support for company activities on a global basis. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Ms. Cooper served as Marketing Manager for the Eastern Region at Sverdrup (now Jacobs). She has also held several key external industry positions—she is a past president of the New York City Post of the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), a past president of the Greater New York Chapter of the Women's Transportation Seminar (WTS), and a member of the New York Building Congress. She is also a Fellow of the Society of American Military Engineers (FSAME) and chairs the PB Foundation.

Dave McAlister

Director, Corporate Development

As Parsons Brinckerhoff's Director of Corporate Development, Dave McAlister is responsible for strategic planning and marketing efforts on a global basis. He has oversight for market analysis and business planning, strategic pursuits in all markets and geographies, mergers and acquisitions, maintenance of global marketing information, civic engagement and government relations, and global sustainability efforts. Mr. McAlister joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in 1981 as a trackwork design engineer, and has held a variety of technical and management positions within the firm. Prior to his current role, he served as Managing Director—Europe/Africa/Middle East, and Director of Operations—Americas. He has also served as Principal-in-Charge on several major Parsons Brinckerhoff projects, including large-scale transportation programs.

Chuck Kohler

Director, Operational Delivery

Chuck Kohler is Group Director of Operational Delivery for Balfour Beatty, Parsons Brinckerhoff's parent company. He has oversight of the firm's project performance on a global basis, with emphasis on major project delivery in both the public and private sectors. Immediately prior to his current role, he was President and Chief Operating Officer for Parsons Brinckerhoff's Asia/Australia-Pacific/Southern Africa region. He previously served as Operations Director for Parsons Brinckerhoff's Europe-Africa operations; he also played a key role in establishing and maintaining a strong civil/structural engineering practice in Parsons Brinckerhoff's Singapore and Hong Kong offices. During a Parsons Brinckerhoff career that spans more than two decades, Mr. Kohler has also served as a financial manager, business unit manager, project engineer and project manager for Parsons Brinckerhoff's operations in the US, Hong Kong, and Singapore.

John A. Murphy

Chief Financial Officer

John Murphy is Parsons Brinckerhoff's Chief Financial Officer, responsible for the global financial, accounting, IT and US administration service operations of the firm. He joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in 2010. Mr. Murphy has more than 25 years of financial and senior management experience, including 14 years working with major engineering contractors and their domestic and international operations. Positions in this sector included serving as Executive Vice President and Finance Director for the E&C Division of Kvaerner ASA in London, UK, and various roles in the US and Canada. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Mr. Murphy was CEO of Irving Transportation Services, with overall responsibility for the integrated transportation businesses of the Irving Group, one of the largest privately held conglomerates in Canada. He also served as the head of the Irving Group's Marine and Industrial Division.

Patrick Schaffner

Director, Global Human Resources

As Parsons Brinckerhoff's Global Director of Human Resources, Pat Schaffner ensures that the firm's HR policies are clearly communicated and adhered to on a global basis. He provides oversight and direction for a range of corporate human resources functions, including staff recruitment and retention, employee development and performance improvement, development of competitive compensation and benefit plans, development and dissemination of ethical guidelines, and global staff mobility. Earlier in his Parsons Brinckerhoff career, Mr. Schaffner served as International Human Resources Manager responsible for managing the HR function outside the United States and identifying appropriate staff to serve in specific roles globally, including oversight of their mobility and placement.

Lisa Palumbo

General Counsel

As Parsons Brinckerhoff's General Counsel, Ms. Palumbo directs the firm's worldwide legal, enterprise risk management, health and safety, and compliance functions. She has more than 25 years of legal experience in the services, technology, defense, and manufacturing sectors. Prior to joining Parsons Brinckerhoff, Ms. Palumbo served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of EDO Corporation, a NYSE-listed defense technology company acquired by ITT Corp. in 2007. She previously served as Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Rayonier Inc., a NYSE-listed global supplier of timber, wood products and performance fibers.

Michael F. Fisher

Chief of Staff

Michael F. Fisher is the Chief of Staff of Parsons Brinckerhoff where he directs and manages a number of strategically important activities for the Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Fisher joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in 1992 after retiring from the United States Army with the rank of Colonel. From 1992 to 2008 he served as Director of Administration and was responsible for creating, developing, and managing a broad range of functions and activities including oversight of a global real estate portfolio of 150 offices, purchasing and e-procurement, corporate travel programs, and he led the development of the firm's Business Management System. In 2008, Mr. Fisher became Chief of Staff for the Americas operating companies and oversaw the staff functions of Information Technology, Administration, Human Resources, Safety, Quality, and Business Management Systems.

Cliff Eby

President, US Transportation

Clifford Eby is the President of Parsons Brinckerhoff's Americas Transportation operating company. He is responsible for managing a business unit that has 4,000 employees located in 70 offices throughout the United States and Canada, and generates close to $1 billion in annual revenue. He is further responsible for growth, project delivery, service quality, financial performance and business development for all planning, design, strategic consulting and construction phase services within the transportation market, including highways, bridges, tunnels, transit and rail, aviation, and ports and marine. Mr. Eby previously was a Senior Vice President in charge of Parsons Brinckerhoff's Technical Excellence Centers in the Americas Transportation company.
