Located on Lantau Island, the deluxe 400-room Disneyland Hotel offers stunning views of the shores of the South China Sea, along with surrounding manicured green lawns and gardens. Located approximately 1.2 miles (2 kilometers) from Discovery Bay, the Disneyland Hotel is part of Disneyland resort, covering 0.5 square miles (1.3 square kilometers). The resort, which contains the Hong Kong Disneyland theme park, Disney's Hollywood Hotel, and the Disneyland Hotel, offers tourists services set among beautiful natural surroundings. The hotel facilities, which were designed to mimic the charm of the Victorian Age, include multi-functional ballrooms—including The Grand Ballroom, measuring 9,600 square feet (888 square meters)—as well as a selection of international restaurants, and indoor and outdoor swimming pools.
As lead mechanical, electrical, plumbing and drainage (MEP) consultant, Parsons Brinckerhoff provided design, fire engineering and construction supervision of the MEP systems installation. This included complete design, from schematic stage to final commissioning, of all building management services, including fire-life/safety systems, air conditioning, heating, plumbing and drainage, lighting, power supply, and communications.
