About Program Management/ Construction Management
Program management (PM) is a partnership with owners that fosters effective, cost-efficient and innovative project delivery. Acting as an extension of client staff, the program manager protects the client’s interests in all areas of project implementation from planning and design, through procurement and construction, and into operations and maintenance.
Parsons Brinckerhoff can assemble a program management organization capable of taking a job from conceptualization through the environmental processes and permits; financing and funding; design, procurement and construction; and start-up and operations - all with full involvement of the client, and with full disclosure to the public and project stakeholders.
Program management at Parsons Brinckerhoff means working with our clients to anticipate the key issues that could impact successful completion of not only the individual projects that make up a program, but the overall program itself. Our PM services enable clients to serve their customers - and their communities.
Parsons Brinckerhoff also offers construction management (CM) services geared to a project’s size and complexity, and backed by a corporate commitment to total quality management. On complex assignments entailing numerous projects and multiple contractors, our involvement extends from overseeing the planning and design phases to managing bidding and procurement and full CM services.
Appropriate for single projects or as part of our PM responsibilities, Parsons Brinckerhoff’s CM services begin during design with schedule and budget evaluations, constructibility reviews, and accuracy checks on cost estimates. Weighing project alternatives and structuring bid packages for lowest cost are also part of our responsibilities, as are monitoring and coordinating daily construction activities.
