We within PB know that our firm’s name stands for “preeminent service provider for infrastructure worldwide.” Infrastructure is more than our horizontal accomplishments, which are many.It is also that group of structures that I like to call “vertical structures”—an administration building or an intelligent transportation system (ITS) facility somewhere along that long stretch of highway, a high-rise office complex or residential building, or a health-care facility. PB’s global community of buildings professionals encourage you to recognize that within our family of companies reside many skills and capabilities that you may not be aware of.
In this issue you can read about projects completed around the world where we incorporated the latest technologies to provide clients with creative, cutting edge, state-of-the-art architectural and engineering solutions, such as the latest in intelligent building systems, building information modeling and Revit 3D modeling. Buildings projects range in type from commercial, industrial, institutional, governmental (public), to private clients. Project delivery systems range from design-bid-build to design-build and build-operate-transfer, with variations of each. We note that our clients like it “their way” and not necessarily the standard way.
Our “buildings” groups in the Asia/Pacific region, the UK, Europe, and the U.S. are well versed in project type and resources, and have many successes to their credit. When these skills are combined and collaboratively focused, they present a formidable force.
