Programs
Because project managers (PMs) are among PB's most
valued resources, the firm established a three-level
Project Management Development program in 1992 to help
them excel. The program enhances PM training, recognizes
achievements and formalizes a PM career ladder. Certification
requirements include completion of training modules;
PM experience; proven, effective client relations; and
a record of financially successful projects.
PB has also designed a Project Administrator Development
program to help administrators enhance expertise, earn
certification and climb a career ladder. This program
offers three levels of accreditation based on training
and experience, with requirements including project
management courses and a four-day training program.
PB's Business Development University offers a formal
career development framework for marketing, sales and
communications staff. The program offers three levels
of certification and provides metrics for comparing
PB's various business development positions, along with
guidelines for staff to measure and enhance their skills
and a guide for managers to identify development needs.
Through the Administrative Certification program, the
firm nurtures and mentors administrative staff in the
fundamentals of PB's business as well as in skillful,
efficient administration. The program offers three levels
of certification based on experience, training modules,
mentoring efforts and service to the community and industry
organizations.
The CADD Associate Certification program recognizes
PB staff for their abilities using CADD (Computer-Aided
Design and Drafting) software in their normal work environment.
The three-level program's requirements include formal
and company training, authoring published articles,
and the management or support of CADD staff, systems
and projects.
