Austin-Bergstrom International Airport
Austin, Texas, U.S.
City of Austin
Feb. 1993-July 2000
Flying high in Austin, Texas

When Austin-Bergstrom International Airport opened on the site of the Bergstrom Air Force Base in May 1999, it was a triumph for the City of Austin, Texas—and for PB, which provided program management services to help the city fulfill its vision.

Converting the decommissioned base into a new international airport was the largest public works project ever undertaken in Austin. Designed to accommodate the city's aviation requirements well into the 21st century, the airport is expected to become an economic generator for Austin and all of central Texas.

"...The professionalism and dedication of the entire PB team was, without question, outstanding," wrote Charles E. Griffith III, Austin's Executive Director of Aviation, in a letter of commendation to PB. The firm’s experience and management approach "likely 'raised the bar' and the level of expectation on all our future endeavors."
