The Infectious Diseases Institute includes cutting-edge laboratories and clinics with the capacity to accommodate 200 adult and pediatric patients per day, or 50,000 patient visits per year. Medical professionals from 13 countries in Africa have trained at the facility. Along with providing leadership services to the design-build team, PB provided procurement and construction management. Other services included:

• Health and safety monitoring
• Health and safety training sessions
• Quality control
• Value engineering

PB also managed the identification and prequalification of companies, suppliers, and contractors for participation in the construction phase.
