Servicing the area’s residents

Given the project’s urban nature, significant efforts were made to integrate the stations into the surrounding environment. Appropriate measures were taken to reduce any negative impacts related to either the construction or operation of the stations, while landscaping and integration with the adjacent street environment were provided to assure the communities’ acceptance of the stations. Throughout, PB chose materials, finishes, equipment and construction methods with appropriate consideration of initial cost as well as operations and maintenance requirements.

“I take great pride in the PB team,” says Alex Leung, Project Manager for Tiu Keng Leng and Tseung Kwan O stations. “With a capacity of more than 75,000 passengers per hour each day, the extension will bring fast and convenient service to the residents of Tseung Kwan O and Yau Tong.”
