Project Description
Construction of 68 miles of toll roads with a project cost of more than $4 billion, consisting of the 23-mile Eastern Transportation Corridor, the 30-mile Foothill Transportation Corridor, and the 15-mile San Joaquin Hills Transportation Corridor. The project also encompasses 44 interchanges, 175 bridges, and well over 120 million cubic yards of earthwork. The innovative design of these roads includes use of a state-of-the-art automatic vehicle identification/electronic toll collection (AVI/ETC) system and provisions for future high occupancy vehicle lanes, park-and-ride lots, and fixed rail transit lines. The $800 million design/build contract for the San Joaquin Hills Corridor is the largest award of its kind in the United States to be successfully completed.

PB Role
Member of the Corridor Design Management Group (CDMG) joint venture responsible for design and program management, including development of design criteria and conceptual plan, route selection, preliminary engineering, project coordination, and design support services.
