| PB has experience with ISO 14001 and Environmental Management Systems
(EMS) initiatives and guidelines. We've developed
policies, manuals and procedures on behalf
of clients including various small to medium
enterprises in the U.K. and Australia. One
EMS commission for the Federal Airports Commission has been applied
to
23 airports.
In the U.S., PB has collaborated with the
Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
in its ongoing effort to improve environmental
performance, encourage
voluntary compliance and build working relationships
with stakeholders.
We helped the EPA create a workshop for
its enforcement personnel: Environmental
Management Systems: The Key to Compliance,
explaining EMS in supplemental environmental
projects as a part of a corrective action
or order. This initiative supported the EPA's
goal of encouraging the regulated community—industry
and federal agencies—to use EMS to
manage and direct their environmental programs.
